Winter storm watch issued by Environment Canada

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch covering the southern half of Saskatchewan.

A watch means that conditions are favourable for severe weather.

Meteorologists are forecasting heavy snow that could potentially break records, with amounts up to 30 centimetres.

The City of Saskatoon has more than 200 workers ready to clear roads, starting with priority streets like Circle Drive and Idylwyld Drive and emergency service access.
