Students at Gladys McDonald School in Regina will be learning remotely for the next week and a half.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority alerted Regina Public Schools about a case of COVID-19 at the school.
After consulting with public health, the school will be closed until Nov. 13, for the safety of staff and students. Beginning Tuesday, all students will participate in remote learning. Families have been contacted with details.
Students are expected to return to class at the school on Nov. 16.
Any additional close contacts at the school will be contacted by public health.
It’s the second time this week that COVID has been identified at the school in the Coronation Park area of the city. On Tuesday, a classroom was closed after a teacher tested positive.
Case at Greenall High School
The Prairie Valley School Division said Friday it had been told an individual at Balgonie’s Greenall High School had tested positive.
The school will remain open for classes.
Public health officials are to contact parents and guardians of students as well as any staff members or visitors to the school who may have been in close contact with the individual.
