Students in the Grade 7 and 8 classroom at Milestone School will be learning remotely for the next two weeks after a positive case of COVID-19 was identified in that class.
The Prairie Valley School Division issued a release Thursday afternoon saying the classroom will be closed for 14 days. Classes for those students are scheduled to resume Nov. 20.
“Due to the safeguards we have in place, Milestone School will remain open and classes will continue as normal for all other students …,” the release said.
“Prairie Valley is working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students.”
Public health officials are to get in touch with the parents or guardians of the students in the class as well as anyone else who may have been in close contact with the individual who tested positive.
