Some students at Regina’s MacNeill School will be working from home for the next two weeks after a staff member at the school tested positive for COVID-19.
In a media release Wednesday, Regina Public Schools said it had been informed of the positive test Tuesday by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Students in one classroom are to self-isolate until Nov. 14 and will be participating in remote learning. The school in the city’s northwest will remain open for other students.
Letters were sent to all MacNeill School families advising them of the positive test.
The SHA is to get in touch with anyone from the school who may have been in close contact with the affected individual. Anyone who shows symptoms is urged to stay home and contact HealthLine 811.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is a revised version of the story. Regina Public Schools corrected the last day that self-isolation is required.
