A man is in police custody after allegedly pointing a firearm at staff inside a business Friday afternoon.
In a release, police say at around 3:30 p.m. Patrol officers were dispatched to a business in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive, after receiving a report that a man was inside with a firearm.
The man was restrained by the staff members after they say he pointed the firearm and was threatening to hurt the staff.
The staff members were able to keep the man restrained until police arrived.
He was taken into custody without further incident.
The man was found to be in possession of a .22 calibre handgun and ammunition.
He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
