Saskatchewan reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
There now are 469 active cases in the province. Seventeen people are in hospital, including two in intensive care.
The Saskatoon area had 14 new cases and the Regina region had 11.
According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases in the Saskatoon area are primarily linked to outbreaks at bars and nightclubs.
The north-central area reported 17 new cases Wednesday, while others were recorded in the central-east (seven), northeast (four), central-west (two), far northeast (one) and northwest (one) zones.
It was the province’s 13th straight day with more than 20 new cases.
The provincial total to date is 2,496 cases.
There were 15 recoveries reported Wednesday, increasing that total so far to 2,002. To date, 25 residents of the province have died due to COVID-19 complications.
There are 15 people receiving inpatient care in hospital, with seven in the Saskatoon area, five in the north-central zone, two in the Regina region and one in the central-east area.
One person is in the ICU in Regina and one is in Saskatoon.
The total number of cases comprises 1,215 community contacts, 674 cases without any known exposures, 332 travellers and 275 cases that are under investigation by public health officials.
There have been 82 cases involving health-care workers in Saskatchewan.
To date, there have been 539 cases from the Saskatoon area, 472 from the south zone (227 southwest, 210 south-central, 35 southeast), 443 from the north (154 northwest, 194 north-central, 95 northeast), 415 in the far north (371 far northwest, 44 far northeast), 347 from the central zone (195 central-west, 152 central-east) and 280 in the Regina region.
Demographically, 866 cases are in the 20-to-39 age range, 730 between the ages of 40 and 59, 463 involving people 19 and under, 361 from ages 60 to 79, and 76 aged 80 and over.
The 2,483 tests done in Saskatchewan on Tuesday raised the provincial average to 238,013.
