A fire that started with an unattended candle on Friday morning caused $250,000 in damage to a Caswell Hill home.
Saskatoon firefighters responded to a 911 call at 9:04 a.m. about a fire on the 600 block of Avenue F North.
The smoke was visible before they arrived at the scene.
People inside the home at the time got out safely before fire crews arrived.
After putting out the fire and extinguishing hot spots a fire investigator began work to determine the cause.
The investigator concluded the fire began in a main-floor bedroom where a candle was left unattended.
