More restrictions are being put in place in the Yorkton area due to increased COVID-19 exposures in the region.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority said Monday family visitation is now being limited at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Esterhazy, the Langenburg Health Care Complex, the Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats and the Centennial Special Care Home in Esterhazy.
Last week, the SHA announced the Yorkton Regional Health Centre and the Yorkton and District Nursing Home would also have limited visitation.
Only compassionate care visits will be allowed.
Meanwhile, the SHA is alerting the public about potential exposures at five businesses in Yorkton, one in Regina and one in Stornoway where an individual was likely infectious with COVID-19 while visiting.
The businesses in question in Yorkton are:
- The Kia auto group dealership from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Sept. 24 to Saturday, with only Sept. 27 not being listed;
- The Superstore in Yorkton from 5:50 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 and 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 28;
- The Gallagher Centre from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 28;
- Wendy’s from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 29.
- Prairie Donair between noon and 1 p.m., on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and Oct. 3.

The SHA said there has been an increase in COVID activity in Yorkton and area, including the RMs of Orkney (244), Fertile Belt (183) and Saltcoats (213).
Edo Japan in Regina, located on 2126 Prince of Wales Dr., may have had an exposure from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 27.
In Stornoway, located east of Yorkton, there was potential exposure at the Combine Bee on Sept. 24 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
