A 26-year-old man is facing one charge of arson after an attempt was made to set a downtown ATM on fire.
In a release, police say on Sept. 18 at about 5:15 a.m., a man entered a financial institution in the 200 block of Second Avenue South, where he attempted to light an ATM on fire.
On Wednesday at about 7:45 a.m., an arson investigator observed the man, who had previously been identified as the suspect. He was found at a convenience store in the 400 block of Third Avenue North.
He was taken into custody without incident.
