Environment Canada issued a frost advisory for the southern half of Saskatchewan on Wednesday afternoon.
“Light winds, clearing skies, and temperatures dropping below zero tonight are creating a prime environment for the development of frost,” the advisory read. “Frost is forecast to be widespread across southern Saskatchewan by Thursday morning.”
The weather service said frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season.
It added Wednesday’s frost advisory is the last one it will put out for the 2020 growing season.
