Three people were arrested after a highway pursuit involving a stolen car west of Saskatoon on Tuesday.
Around 1:30 p.m., RCMP say they attempted to stop a car for speeding on Highway 14 near Perdue. The vehicle kept going and headed east toward Saskatoon reaching speeds over 170 kilometres per hour.
The Saskatoon Air Support Unit and RCMP eventually tracked the vehicle to an area north of Langham, where a spike belt was deployed to deflate the vehicle’s tires.
The suspects fled on foot, but didn’t get very far. RCMP with the assistance of the Corman Park Police Service arrested the suspects without incident.
Tanisha Taniskishayinew, 19, and Theron Fox, 25, face numerous charges. Charges against a third person are pending.
