Campers are going to find it easier to get to some of Saskatchewan’s provincial parks in 2021.
The Saskatchewan government announced Thursday it’s planning to pave more than 100 kilometres of roads that lead to provincial parks.
As well, it’s investing more than $2 million to pave roads within five parks: Good Spirit Lake, Great Blue Heron, Greenwater Lake, Meadow Lake and Rowan’s Ravine.
A plan to improve about 50 kilometres of Highway 24 into Chitek Lake was announced previously.
The government also is spending more than $41 million on highway construction projects near some provincial parks this year.
Those projects include construction on Highway 219 near Danielson Provincial Park, paving on Highway 255 near Tobin Lake, and paving on Highway 265 near Candle Lake Provincial Park.
