The Saskatchewan Rush have acquired a 2020 second-round draft pick and a 2021 first-round draft pick from the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for forward Connor Robinson.
The trade, announced today by Rush General Manager Derek Keenan, lands the Rush the 26th overall selection in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft and also gives the Rush three first-round picks in the 2021 Entry Draft. The next NLL Entry Draft takes place Thursday.
“It’s difficult to move a player with such great potential, but while remaining in the hunt to chase down another championship in 2021, we also need to address the future,” said Keenan.
The Rush now have five first-round picks in the next two drafts.
Robinson was selected fifth overall in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft and played in 11 regular-season games for the Rush, collecting five goals and 11 points.
