Saskatoon police have charged a 34-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a man in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.
On Thursday just before 2 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Avenue W South after it was reported a man was injured.
When officers arrived, they found 62-year-old Vincent Machiskinic suffering from a stab wound.
He was transported to hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The accused was arrested Thursday by patrol officers shortly after responding to the incident.
Investigators believe this incident was not random and that the accused was known to the victim.
The 34-year-old man appeared in court Friday morning.
