A man is facing charges after a gun scare at the Salvation Army Thrift Store Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., officers responded to the store on 42nd A Street East and Faithfull Avenue after receiving a report that a man had entered the business with a firearm and threatened self-harm.
Staff and customers ran into a nearby parking lot until police arrived. The man was arrested a short time later without incident. The gun was later determined to be a replica.
The 21-year-old man is facing three charges, including mischief and possession of a dangerous weapon.
