Former long-serving mayor Don Atchison announced Friday morning that he is throwing his hat into the ring in the mayoral race.

Following his loss to the current mayor, Charlie Clark, in the 2016 election Atchison began working as the Saskatoon World Trade consultant.
Atchison is Saskatoon’s longest-serving mayor.
He broke the record on Oct. 27, 2015, after 12 years in the position.
