Saskatchewan added 42 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the provincial total to 1,178.
The South region saw the largest jump in cases, with 22 cases of them reported.
Saskatoon saw 10 new cases on Sunday, the Central region saw eight, and the North region saw two.
Of the new infections, 35 are from Hutterite colonies.
Currently, 13 people are in hospitals across the province. Nine people are receiving inpatient care — four in Saskatoon, two in the central region, two in the South and one in Regina.
Four people are in intensive care — three in Saskatoon and one in Regina.
The province saw 11 more recoveries for a total of 873. Among the 1,178 total cases, 289 are considered active.
The public is being warned to avoid being complacent in the pandemic, saying there is no region in Saskatchewan without active cases.
People are being urged to keep up with precautions, including proper hygiene, keeping gatherings small, proper distancing and wearing a mask when distancing isn’t possible.
