A heat warning remains in place for much of the southern and central regions of the province, and now Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm warnings and watches for several areas.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for areas in the south including the RM of Lacadena including Kyle, Tyner and Sanctuary. There are also warnings for the RM of Monet, including Elrose, Wartime and Forgan.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
There is also a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for areas north including Candle Lake Provincial Park and Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Prince Albert National Park, Lac La Ronge Provincial Park including La Ronge, Montreal Lake and Malanosa, as well as Key Lake and Cree Lake.
