A 33-year-old Saskatoon man is facing multiple charges including possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
On Sunday night, the Saskatoon Police Service attempted to pull over a vehicle in the Mount Royal neighbourhood.
The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and fled the area at high speed. Patrol officers found the vehicle abandoned in the Meadowgreen area.
Inside the vehicle, police located multiple rounds of ammunition and cellphones, along with fentanyl, heroin, meth and shatter.
As they were searching for the suspect, officers were approached by an individual saying an unknown man had entered their home in the area.
When police arrived, the male suspect was attempting to hide from police inside the house.
The 33-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with evading police, dangerous driving, break and enter, breach of release and six weapon-related offences.
He is also charged with possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and unlawful possession of illicit cannabis.
