A man wanted in connection with a murder in North Battleford is in police custody.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, Michael Jordan White was arrested Wednesday by the Strathcona County RCMP in Alberta.
White, 32, was charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Todd Stone in May. Stone, 38, was found with significant head trauma in a house in North Battleford on May 12 and died in a Saskatoon hospital the next day.
A warrant was issued in Saskatchewan for White’s arrest in May before a Canada-wide warrant was sworn June 24.
After White was arrested Wednesday, officers from the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North travelled to Sherwood Park, Alta., to pick him up. He was transported to North Battleford, where he appeared in court Thursday.
