Three people are dead and three others are in hospital after a two-vehicle collision Wednesday night on a grid road north of Waldeck.
According to a media release from the RCMP, the crash happened shortly after 9 p.m., in the RM of Excelsior.
Police say a car with five occupants that was travelling west and an eastbound pickup truck with a lone male occupant collided on the road, which the Mounties say was very narrow and had a hilly dirt surface.
The 18-year-old male driver of the car and two male passengers, ages 16 and 18, were declared dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old female who was in the car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. An 18-year-old female passenger who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries was taken to hospital in Regina.
The 55-year-old man driving the pickup sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Swift Current.
RCMP traffic analysts from the Moose Jaw detachment are involved in the investigation.
Waldeck is about 20 kilometres northeast of Swift Current.
