Two popular sports are allowed to start up Monday in Saskatchewan.
As part of Phase 4.1 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan, soccer and baseball are allowed to start up.
“It’s better to start it in outdoor leagues rather than in the winter for indoor leagues,” one athlete said when she was asked about soccer starting play.
Competitive play, tournaments and interprovincial travel for games are not yet allowed in Saskatchewan’s Phase 4.1 plan.
Along with soccer and baseball, flag football will also be allowed to start, but there isn’t any word on when rugby or tackle football could resume.
Some outdoor pools are allowed to reopen Monday in Saskatchewan as well.
However, Regina and Saskatoon are planning to open some of their outdoor pools in July.
