Saskatoon police say they are seeing an increase in the number of calls about the Canada Revenue Agency scam.
Complainants say they are being told they have warrants for their arrest for outstanding or unpaid taxes. In some cases, the fraudsters are spoofing 306 area code numbers in an effort to appear legitimate.
If you receive a call that is similar in nature, the police recommends hanging up and reporting the call to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
