650 CKOM is being honoured by our peers.
We’re proud to announce that 650 CKOM won the award for Best Radio Newscast in Canada as judged by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). It’s made up of news directors and journalists across Canada.
The winning newscast aired the morning after the 2019 federal election.
It’s the second year in a row that CKOM has won for best radio newscast in a medium market. After having won regionally, CKOM’s newscast was judged against other winners from B.C., Central Canada and the Atlantic region.
