Securing the patio furniture and barbecue cover will be a must today with many parts of the province in store for a windy Wednesday.
Environment Canada meteorologist Natalie Hazel said it will be another day of strong winds with gusts topping 70 km/h in Saskatoon and 60 km/h in Regina this afternoon.
Coming along with the wind is the chance of rain and thunderstorms. Hazel says areas with the best chance of storm activity are Prince Albert to La Ronge and eastern areas of the province.
“We tend to see gusts in thunderstorms and even in milder convections that can add to the gustiness of the winds sometimes.”
Hazel says the wind will moderate to 30 km/h this evening.
On Monday, winds topped 90 km/h in Saskatoon and central areas causing damage to trees and rooftops.
