Saskatoon police used a taser on a man throwing rocks at vehicles on Monday.
In a news release, police said around 6 p.m., a 29-year-old man was observed by patrol officers throwing large stones at vehicles — including a patrol car — at the corner of Idylwyld Drive and 25th Street.
When officers approached the man, he pulled out a knife. After he ignored orders to drop the knife, an officer used a taser to subdue the man.
The suspect was taken to hospital as a precaution and police say he will face charges.
