The RCMP in Saskatchewan said Friday officers have responded to 1,379 calls related to COVID-19 since March 1.
In a media release, the Mounties said four charges have been laid so far during the pandemic.
Over the past seven days, the RCMP responded to 104 COVID-related calls. Those comprised of 33 complaints of gatherings attended by more than 10 people, 13 complaints of people failing to self-isolate as required, and 58 other COVID-related calls.
One charge was laid over the past week.
Because the public health order remains in place, any potential violations of the order are investigated. If need be, police officers can be called in to enforce the order.
