Former members of the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) can now apply for a pandemic emergency licence to help during COVID-19 uncertainty.
The 90-day licence is available for inactive, non-practicing, retired and other former paramedics.
People hoping to re-register must get a background check.
The SCoP is asking those considering a return to practice to assess their own possible risks with COVID-19.
It includes age, chronic illness or immunocompromises.
Last month the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association put out the call for non-practicing and retired nurses to get emergency licenses.
At least 60 have done so.
