A heavy band of snowfall moving across central Saskatchewan has led Highway Hotline to issue “travel not recommended” notices for several highways north of Saskatoon on Monday.
Travel isn’t recommended due to loose snow, blowing snow, drifting snow, slippery or icy conditions, or low visibility.
As of 5:30 p.m. the service is recommending people stay off of Highway 11 from Osler to MacDowall, as well as several highways around Wakaw.
Previous warnings for highways leading into Saskatoon were lifted Monday afternoon.
