An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder and offering an indignity to human remains after 69-year-old Randall Dayman was found dead Tuesday on a farm outside of Fillmore.
According to the RCMP, the victim is the suspect’s grandfather. The RCMP said the grandson had been living with the man at the home.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect, Cody Nagy, wandering around the farmyard. They subsequently found Dayman’s body not far from the house.
Nagy is to answer the charges by phone Thursday at Estevan Provincial Court.
Fillmore is about 105 kilometres southeast of Regina.
