A 24-year-old woman has been charged after a report of an assault at an apartment building in the Sutherland neighbourhood.
At about 8 p.m. Monday, police were called to an apartment in the 400 block of Central Avenue. A 16-year-old girl reported that an unknown woman had approached her in a hallway and assaulted her while holding a knife.
The 16-year-old was not injured.
Police found the 24-year-old suspect inside a nearby apartment and arrested her.
She is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and breach of release conditions.
