Saskatoon businesses affected by COVID-19 can now apply for a helping hand.
The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA) has started a program to give out up to $5,000 dollars to companies in need.
The Small Business Emergency Continuity Grant Program is for businesses of ten or fewer employees. The grant program is currently made up of $100,000 in funds.
Alex Fallon, the CEO of SREDA, told 650 CKOM’s Brent Loucks he’d like to give out even more.
“The hope is that in the next week or two we can maybe announce the second phase and provide more grants,” he explained.
“The grant money is really that emergency funding to go towards keeping your business open, and we know there’s a lot of people that probably need that help.”
You can find the application details here. The deadline is Monday, April 6.
