Several west side neighbourhoods and downtown lost power Wednesday morning after an SUV plowed into a Saskatoon Light & Power transformer, sparking a fire.
The power station, at 33rd Street and Edmonton Avenue, was struck around 7:50 a.m.
Police said traffic restrictions on Edmonton Avenue between 31st and 33rd Street, and are expected to be in place for approximately 2 to 4 hours.
The 53-year-old male driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

- Mayfair
- Caswell Hill
- Westmount
- Hudson Bay Park
- Mount Royal
- Westview
Saskatoon Light & Power said affected customers are being switched to a temporary power supply.
The city is reporting that power was completely restored just after 10 a.m.
