Saskatoon police say while classes may be cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, speed limits in school zones in the city are still in effect.
A release says with the warmer weather, children and caregivers will be making use of the playgrounds.
Police say the school zones remain in effect as per the bylaw, which mandates a speed limit of 30 kilometres per hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, from September through June inclusive.
Police also remind drivers that school zone speed limits are also still in effect on statutory holidays.
