If you’re a University of Saskatchewan (U of S) student and wish to go home, the institution won’t be stopping you.
The U of S made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, adding that exams will be delivered remotely in April.
Remote delivery of exams will follow the remote delivery of classes, which are set to begin Thursday.
The existing exam timing schedule will remain, the U of S states.
In the press release, the U of S explained the decision to let students head home.
“With final exams being completed remotely, there is no requirement to stay on or near campus for the remainder of the term. If you are an out-of-town student wishing to return home, you can do so. If you live in residence and decide to return home now, refunds are available. Our current plan is to keep our residences open for students wishing to stay on campus.”
Students will hear from their instructors or their academic units with more details of final exams in the near future.
Graduate students are encouraged to work with their supervisors to assess if research activities will require them to be on campus, or if they’re able to work remotely.
