The tournament has raised over $30,000 for various charities and other causes throughout Saskatoon.
SIGA has announced it will be temporarily closing its casinos for two weeks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release sent late Monday afternoon, SIGA president and CEO Zane Hansen said at the end of the two-week closure, they will re-assess the situation.
“The decision is in the best interest of our employees, guests and community members’ health and safety, and the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19,” said Hansen. The temporary closure is in alignment with SaskGaming Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw, and other Canadian jurisdictions and will help ensure our employees can focus on staying healthy and and taking care of their families.”
The temporary closures are effective as of the end of gaming day Monday, March 16.
