Kyle Crnkovic did in the WHL’s Regina Pats for a second straight night Saturday.
Crnkovic, who scored the overtime winner for the Saskatoon Blades in their 2-1 victory over the visiting Pats on Friday, potted the game-winner at 4:13 of overtime Saturday as the Blades beat Regina 5-4 at the Brandt Centre.
Zach Wytinck (at 13:05), Jakob Brook (16:10) and Austin Pratt (19:00) scored goals in a span of five minutes 55 seconds in the first period as the Pats grabbed a three-goal lead.
Saskatoon’s Nolan Kneen sniped at 19:55 of the first to cut the Pats’ advantage to two goals. Then, in the second period, Tristen Robins, Crnkovic and Scott Walford scored as the Blades took a 4-3 lead.
Saskatoon held that advantage until 18:14 of the third, when Wytinck scored his second goal of the game to tie the contest and send it to overtime.
Crnkovic ended matters on Saskatoon’s third shot of the extra session. Regina had one shot on goal in OT.
Robins, Crnkovic and Walford each added two assists for the Blades (33-24-2-3).
Koen MacInnes stopped 20 shots in the Saskatoon goal, while Donovan Buskey made 34 saves for the Pats (21-33-6-2).
Regina is to play host to the Winnipeg Ice on Wednesday. Game time at the Brandt Centre is set for 7 p.m.
