Snowfall warnings remained in effect for much of central Saskatchewan on Sunday morning.
The area affected has been shrinking.
By mid-morning, warnings had been lifted in northern Saskatchewan while in the central part of the province, the affected area spanned from Meadow Lake to Buffalo Narrows, across to the Manitoba border.
Some parts of Saskatchewan were expecting up to eight inches of snow.
Meteorologist Brian Luzny said between three to six inches had accumulated by Sunday morning, with more to come.
“We haven’t ended the snowfall warnings because they are expected to receive another two to five centimetres today,” said Brian Luzny.
Highway Hotline was showing winter conditions for most of the province, which could include things like loose and blowing snow.
Icy sections are also possible, as freezing rain was forecast for the southern part of the province.
Luzny said the snowfall warnings should be lifted later in the day.
