ESTEVAN, Sask. — Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says he’s not committing to a provincial election in October.
Moe says there’s more unrest in the country than usual.
He cites ongoing rail blockades and the spread of the novel coronavirus that are affecting the economy.
The government had set the next provincial election date for October.
Moe says that is still the plan, but he has the right to call an earlier vote.
He says the Saskatchewan Party marks its four-year term in the spring.
