MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson has won the Canadian women’s curling championship.
Einarson downed Ontario’s Rachel Homan 8-7 on Sunday in final of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
They needed an extra end to decide a winner after Homan scored two in the 10th to make it 7-7.
Einarson’s foursome will represent Canada at the world championship March 14-22 in Prince George, B.C.
Homan beat Jennifer Jones and her Winnipeg wild-card team 8-3 in the semifinal earlier in the day to reach the title draw.
More coming.
