Police have laid a murder charge in the death of a Saskatchewan man whose body was discovered north of Calgary.
Sheldon Wolf of Carrot River, was visiting Calgary and was last seen leaving a hotel in the city on Feb. 2.
He was reported missing the following day.
Police say evidence connected to the case was found in Elliston Park in Calgary’s east end, and a search of the park was conducted on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old’s body was located later that day in a rural area north of the bedroom community of Airdrie, and an autopsy determined his death was a homicide
Fayiah (Victor) Briama, 23, of Calgary has been charged with first-degree murder and will appear in court on Monday.
