Saskatoon firefighters had a busy morning Wednesday responding to three blazes spread between Pleasant Hill and the nearby Riversdale area.
It started with a 911 call at 9:15 a.m. The caller reported flames coming out of a house at 317 Avenue P South.
The small fire started in an unused coal chute and was quickly put out, according to the fire department.
At 9:39 a.m. a 911 call came in for smoke billowing out of the roof at 333 Avenue Q South.
Fire crews arrived and saw flames near the house’s back door.
The fire, which started in the kitchen, was under control quickly and out soon after, the fire department said in a media release.
The final call of the series came in at 10:53 a.m. when a 911 caller described grey smoke coming from a garage at 206 Avenue E South.
Responding crews found the garage and a dumpster on fire and extinguished it.
All three fires are under investigation with the causes and total damage estimates pending.
