Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive lineman Takoby Cofield isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
The second-year American tackle re-signed with the club Sunday, according to a release by the team. He was scheduled to become a free agent on February 11.
The 28-year-old played 15 games over the past two seasons with the green and white, spending time on both sides of the tackle position in 2019.
He spent five seasons at Duke during his collegiate career, playing in 51 games. Before his time with the Riders, he was a part of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins rosters.
Cofield played in eight NFL preseason games between 2015 and 2016.
