A few scary moments for drivers during the morning commute after a car caught on fire Friday.
Fire crews were dispatched after 8:00 a.m. to College Drive near the McKercher Drive overpass.
The car was fully involved when crews arrived and westbound traffic was backed up to McOrmond Drive.
The driver managed to escape the vehicle safely.
A video of the inferno was captured by a passerby.

The fire was put just after 8:30 a.m. The cause remains under investigation.
