Cole Dubinsky scored at 3:29 of overtime to help the Regina Pats defeat the Saskatoon Blades 4-3 in WHL action Sunday at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats, who snapped a four-game losing streak, improved to 14-26-3-2. The Blades fell to 23-19-2-2.
Carson Denomie and Robbie Holmes staked the Pats to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Tristen Robins and Scott Walford scored for the Blades to tie the contest.
After Riley Krane put Regina ahead again at 8:14 of the third, Saskatoon’s Radek Kucerik scored at 10:27 of that period to knot the contest.
It stayed tied until Dubinsky scored his third goal of the season to lift the Pats to the victory.
Pats netminder Donovan Buskey was named the game’s first star after stopping 33 shots. Koen MacInnes made 18 saves for the Blades.
Regina is to return to action Friday, when the Victoria Royals are to visit the Brandt Centre. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
