A 32-year-old woman is facing charges after a police officer was bitten at an elementary school in Saskatoon on Wednesday.
Police said in a news release that a school resource officer was attending a feast at Pleasant Hill Community School when it was reported that a woman was brandishing a razor blade in the hallway.
According to police, the woman followed the officer’s commands to drop the item, but as she was being arrested, the officer was bitten. The item turned out to be a glass cutter.
The officer, who was wearing gloves, was not seriously hurt.
The woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
