Before the NFL playoffs started, I picked San Francisco and Baltimore to meet in the Super Bowl. The Ravens are out after losing to Tennessee, and now the Titans are a win away from the championship game.
The Titans have been impressive, but their offence has been one-dimensional with Derrick Henry leading the way. Henry had 182 yards in rushing in the wild-card win over New England, and 195 on the ground against the Ravens last week. That ends this week against the Chiefs. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for a total of 160 yards in two games.
While many are buzzing about the Chiefs’ offence after their come-from-behind win over Houston last week, they forget that Steve Spagnuolo’s defence is one of the best in the NFL. Frank Clark had three sacks last week.
Take Kansas City by a convincing margin over the Titans.
Sunday’s Packers-Niners game is a little more cut and dried. To me, the NFC championship game comes down to two simple things: Home-field advantage and a game featuring a team that has nothing to lose.
Take San Francisco in a close one over Green Bay.
