Conor McGregor is coming back to the octagon and UFC, in a return desperately needed by the brass of UFC.
Since his last pay-per-view event, which was the highest-bought pay-per-view in UFC history, UFC has had some bad cards and lower viewers.
Like golf needs Tiger, UFC needs McGregor.
His name is linked to five of the top six UFC pay-per-view events ever!
There is no doubt that the world either loves or loves to hate the trash-talking, hard-hitting, Irishman.
So here we are at UFC 246 to see McGregor fight again, as the 31-year old has the goal of owning three different division titles and a boxing title.
It doesn’t even matter who he’s fighting, really. Though it isn’t the rematch many want between he and Nurmagomedov, having McGregor back in the sport is what MMA wants and maybe needs to get the casual sports fans to watch again.
And if McGregor makes good on promises, we could be entering another popularity surge in the sport.
