Saskatoon police say the death of 27-year-old Travis Freysteinson was an accident.
He was found dead on Feb. 2, 2019, on the 2400 block of Eastview.
Police launched a suspicious death investigation at the time.
In an update Friday, police said following the investigation and consultation with the Provincial Prosecutor’s office Freysteinson’s death was deemed accidental.
His death was the result of a non-criminal accident involving a gun and another man, police said in a media release.
Police did not provide more details but reminded gun owners to practise safe handling.
No charges will be laid.
