Over the past week, we’ve seen some of the best advertising for the CFL you can get when it comes to recruiting the best.
In a month, Vince McMahon’s XFL is set to debut and with it another spring league will be set to compete when it comes to recruiting top talent.
But when you see Nick Usher, Winston Rose, Reggie Begelton, Marcus Sayles and Bralon Addison leave the CFL, they could be just the beginning of more players potentially heading to the National Football League.
The CFL continues to be the No. 2 pro football league in the world and will continue to be because of its track record.
Cameron Wake, Jerrell Freeman, Sam Eguavoen, Jeff Garcia and many more have left the CFL and got their shot in the NFL.
It’s why the CFL should never waver or be frightened of these spring league threats. It has established coaches, organizations and credibility when it comes to giving players a chance at fulfilling their pro football dreams.
It’s why I never worry about a talent flow to the south, because there are plenty more where they came from and their agents know the CFL is a far better league to possibly get a second chance at the NFL.
